Cloud Solutions Architect

About the role

The Cloud Solutions Architect position at Freedom Technology Solutions Group is aimed at individuals with extensive experience in cloud platforms and services, systems architecture, and cybersecurity. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructures in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Configure and maintain cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, and IAM roles
• Implement cloud security best practices, including encryption, access control, and compliance frameworks
• Lead full lifecycle systems development including design, testing, and integration
• Manage identity lifecycle management and enterprise IT integration
• Support A&A workflows and implement security controls across cloud and on-prem environments
• Develop and deploy machine learning models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or SageMaker
• Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences

Requirements

• An active security clearance with a polygraph
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, and shell scripting
• Experience with SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proven ability to configure and maintain cloud services
• Familiarity with modern programming environments
• Experience with cloud security best practices
• Experience with multi-cloud networking and performance optimization
• Systems architecture and virtualization experience
• Ability to lead full lifecycle systems development
• Familiarity with ICD 503 and A&A processes
• Experience with identity lifecycle management
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
• Experience supporting A&A workflows and implementing security controls
• Experience with certificate authorities and secure authentication protocols
• Full-stack development experience
• Experience with Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and secure coding standards
• Experience managing Microsoft Office 365, Windows environments, and endpoint configuration tools
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues and maintaining compliance with enterprise security policies
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DHCP, and SQL Server

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
