Cloud Solutions Architect

About the role

Armison Tech is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team in Chantilly, VA, working on-site in a client environment. This role requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and U.S. citizenship.

You will participate in software development efforts across all phases of the life cycle, including scope work, estimation, design documentation, testing, and integration. The team develops new applications to meet mission design goals and solve complex problems through broad design solutions. Responsibilities include managing virtual and physical servers on a virtualization platform (VMware) with Windows Server 2008–2016, Ubuntu, and CentOS.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-based applications using current best practices and architectural guidelines.
• Work in software engineering, applications development, and/or web application development.
• Develop front ends using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.
• Develop in commercial cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized applications (Kubernetes).
• Use orchestration tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
• Work with networking and VPN protocols (OpenVPN, Wireguard, IPSec).
• Manage end-user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations following best practices.

Requirements

• Active/current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance (required).
• Demonstrated experience independently designing and developing cloud-based applications.
• Experience in software engineering, applications development, or web application development.
• Proficiency in object-oriented development using modern languages (Java, Go, C#).
• Experience developing in a Linux environment.
• Experience with containerized applications (Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
