Deloitte Space is expanding flight-proven satellite cybersecurity capabilities and supporting managed services into the commercial space market. Building on flight heritage from Deloitte-1, this role will help scale cyber-resilient solutions for emerging space companies, satellite operators, primes, and large constellation operators. The Lead Product Engineer / Architect will serve as the senior technical authority for the offering, working as a peer to the Lead Product Manager. This role will shape the technical vision, architecture, engineering standards, and delivery roadmap across cyber, software, hardware, AI, space, ground, and user segments. The ideal candidate can translate complex mission and security requirements into scalable, commercially viable solutions that can be deployed repeatably across clients. Work you'll do As a Cyber Space Lead Product Engineer on the Cyber Defense & Resilience team, you will be responsible for: Defining target architectures, interfaces, trust boundaries, and engineering patterns across space, ground, and user segments, with security by design embedded throughout.Establishing engineering standards, release-readiness criteria, and architecture governance to support sound technical decisions and protect system integrity.Leading cross-functional technical integration across cyber, software, hardware, artificial intelligence, and systems engineering teams to align research, development, and production delivery.Designing repeatable deployment approaches that support multiple client satellites, mission profiles, and constellation environments as the offering scales.Overseeing system-level test strategy across integration, security validation, mission readiness, operational acceptance, and failure analysis.Translating frameworks such as SPARTA, NIST, ATO, STIG, and CMMC into executable delivery controls and advising clients and executives on technical tradeoffs and product direction. Helps manage and protect dynamic attack surfaces and provides rapid crisis and cyber incident response, ensuring clients can be ready for, respond to, and recover from business disruptions. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree10+ years of experience delivering product engineering, solution architecture, systems architecture, or technical product leadership for cyber, aerospace, space, embedded, or mission-critical systemsExperience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams spanning cyber, software, hardware, artificial intelligence, and systems engineering through production deployment and operationsExperience designing secure architectures across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and embedded or space-based environments, including interface definition, trust boundaries, and failure mode analysisExperience authoring reference architectures, design patterns, or technical standards adopted across multiple teams or client environments and implementing controls aligned to NIST, ATO, STIG, CMMC, or comparable frameworksAbility to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Limited immigration sponsorship may be available. Preferred: Experience supporting commercial go-to-market activities for a product or platform, including pilots, co-development, or first-of-kind client deploymentsExperience supporting satellite mission operations or aerospace delivery programs, including embedded or real-time system integrationExperience deploying artificial intelligence or machine learning models in constrained environmentsExperience applying SPARTA threat frameworks to architecture, testing, or security designExperience with one or more of the following: C, POSIX, real-time operating systems, Python, PyTorch, Docker, Grafana, MQTT, Node.js, GitHub Actions, automated security scanning, or containerized deploymentsActive Secret or higher security clearance The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $134,500 to $265,100. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
