About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Cloud Security Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in fortifying our cloud infrastructure. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud environments primarily on AWS. Your expertise will help ensure our infrastructure is resilient, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices. You will lead efforts to automate security processes, conduct vulnerability assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security into the development lifecycle. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the security posture of a rapidly growing organization, working on complex cloud architectures and emerging security challenges.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on AWS environments
• Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles
• Strong knowledge of IAM, encryption standards, network security, and logging/monitoring practices
• Hands-on experience with endpoint protection technologies such as EDR, MDM, and antivirus solutions
• Understanding of compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or TypeScript
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to solve complex problems across technical and non-technical teams

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale secure AWS cloud environments that balance innovation with compliance requirements
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code pipelines for consistent, auditable, and secure deployments
• Lead regular security assessments, perform vulnerability testing, and coordinate incident response activities
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and product lifecycles
• Define IAM strategies, implement network segmentation, establish encryption standards, and set up continuous monitoring practices
• Detect anomalies, investigate security alerts, and respond proactively to evolving threats within cloud ecosystems
• Mentor peers on secure design principles, share knowledge of emerging risks, and promote best practices in cloud security
• Stay informed about emerging threats, security tools, and industry trends to shape long-term security strategies
