About The Role The Cloud & Security Engineer is a critical member of CP Unlimited’s enterprise technology team, responsible for supporting and advancing the organization’s cloud-first strategy. This fully remote position requires an experienced professional skilled in managing Microsoft 365 environments, cloud infrastructure, and security operations. The engineer will work collaboratively with infrastructure, support, security, and application teams to maintain a secure, reliable, and efficient cloud ecosystem. Key responsibilities include administering Microsoft 365 services, supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, implementing security measures, and facilitating the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI platforms and automation tools. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to technology management, ensuring that organizational priorities are met through innovative yet secure solutions. Qualifications Minimum of 3 to 5 years supporting cloud infrastructure, security operations, or enterprise cloud environmentsExperience with Microsoft 365 suite including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDriveProficiency with Microsoft Entra ID, conditional access, endpoint compliance, and device management via IntuneHands-on experience with Microsoft Defender security tools and incident response processesKnowledge of Azure administration, cloud governance, and secure access managementExperience supporting vulnerability management, configuration baselines, and audit readinessProficiency in scripting or automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Logic Apps, or similar toolsFamiliarity with Microsoft Purview, data protection, retention policies, DLP, and information governanceUnderstanding of Teams Phone, VoIP concepts, and collaboration platform supportKnowledge of AI governance, Microsoft Copilot, and secure adoption of AI-enabled platforms (preferred)Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating across distributed teamsExcellent documentation skills for creating standards, procedures, and technical support materials Responsibilities Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related collaboration toolsManage Microsoft Entra ID, including configuring conditional access, identity governance, and privileged access controlsSupport Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, compliance policies, and endpoint security managementImplement and maintain Microsoft Purview features such as data loss prevention, retention policies, and information protectionOversee SaaS application access, governance, and secure integrations within the Microsoft cloud environmentTroubleshoot user access issues, licensing problems, and cloud service disruptionsStay updated on Microsoft 365 releases, platform enhancements, and security features to foster continuous improvementSupport the secure adoption of AI platforms like Microsoft Copilot through access reviews and stakeholder coordinationAssist with governance of AI services, connectors, and automation tools to mitigate data exposure risksSupport Azure cloud infrastructure, including subscriptions, resource groups, virtual networks, and storage managementImplement cloud security best practices, including access reviews, policy enforcement, and least privilege principlesParticipate in planning, testing, deployment, and post-implementation validation of cloud services and updatesMonitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and support threat detection activities using Microsoft Defender and SIEM toolsParticipate in incident response, containment, and recovery efforts, including root cause analysis and remediationSupport vulnerability management processes, including scan result reviews, remediation prioritization, and compliance monitoringTroubleshoot connectivity issues across cloud and on-premises environments, including network and security configurationsMaintain comprehensive technical documentation, including support procedures, architecture diagrams, and security baselinesPrepare reports on service health, security posture, and risk mitigation strategies for internal stakeholders and auditsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cross-team knowledge sharing, and operational standardization Benefits Competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000Flexible remote work environment, supporting work-life balanceComprehensive health and dental insurance plansPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for professional development and ongoing trainingParticipation in innovative technology initiatives and AI adoption programsSupportive organizational culture committed to diversity and inclusion Equal Opportunity CP Unlimited is an equal opportunity employer.
