Description
Cloud Security Engineers are needed to support a Federal Government client. The availability of this position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2, 4, and 5 security controls.
- Implement security controls and frameworks within cloud environments.
- Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, role-based access controls (RBAC), and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
- Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M).
- Provide the Cloud Security Compliance & Risk Report, ensuring all cloud-based operations remain in accordance with DoD security requirements.
Requirements
- Must have demonstrated experience in developing secure web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular, as well as API development with REST and GraphQL.
- Must have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including serverless architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Must have demonstrated experience in implementing cloud security frameworks, configuring identity and access management (IAM) solutions, and conducting vulnerability assessments in cloud environments.
- Must have experience with SIEM tools, zero-trust architecture, and cloud security monitoring solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in cloud security engineering.
- Desirable but not required certifications include CISSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals.
Skills
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2, 4, and 5 security controls.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency in identity and access management (IAM), security monitoring, and cloud-native security solutions.
