Cloud Onboarding Engineer – FinOps Reporting

About the role

Skill Level: Senior Principal. Location: Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

• Integrate commercial cloud environments with agency financial-management, cost-accounting, reporting, or business-intelligence services.
• Design, deploy, secure, and operate OCI solutions.
• Implement FinOps capabilities, including cost allocation, chargeback/showback, budgeting, forecasting, optimization, and consumption reporting.
• Configure OCI compartments, tagging and cost-tracking tags, budgets, usage reports, cost analysis, and billing exports.
• Design cost-data integrations with enterprise reporting, financial-management, data-warehouse, or business-intelligence platforms.
• Define and maintain cost-allocation models that map OCI consumption to organizations, programs, projects, applications, environments, contracts, and customer-defined reporting dimensions.
• Perform data transformation, validation, reconciliation, automated reporting, dashboard creation, alerts, forecasting, and anomaly detection for cloud billing and usage data.
• Apply rightsizing, scheduling, autoscaling, storage lifecycle management, license optimization, discount utilization, idle-resource identification, and cost-governance practices.
• Apply least-privilege access, OCI audit logging, secure financial-data sharing, RMF, ICD 503, and NGA A&A processes.
• Communicate and manage stakeholders across finance, procurement, program, cloud, cybersecurity, application, Oracle, and Government teams.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant experience in the above areas.

Qualifications

• Associate- or Professional-level OCI certification in Architect, Security, Data Management, or Cloud Operations.
• FinOps Foundation Certified Practitioner or comparable cloud-financial-management certification.
• Experience with Oracle Analytics, Oracle Fusion Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable approved reporting platforms.
• Experience integrating cloud cost data with financial, procurement, contract-management, or budgeting systems.
• Experience using OCI usage and cost-report APIs, SQL, data pipelines, or Python to automate reporting.
• Experience supporting financial-data governance, audit readiness, reconciliation, internal controls, and remediation tracking in a regulated environment.
