Cloud Migration Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Cloud Migration Architect to support a large-scale data center to Microsoft Azure migration within a healthcare environment. This is a hands-on architecture and migration role — you’ll design the Azure environment, build infrastructure through IaC, lead migration waves and cutovers, and oversee post-migration stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Own Azure Landing Zone architecture, networking, security, governance, and RBAC
• Build and maintain Bicep/ARM infrastructure-as-code
• Lead technical discovery and application migration planning
• Manage Azure Migrate, replication, and test failovers
• Create and lead detailed cutover and rollback plans
• Lead production migration/cutover events and technical teams
• Validate DNS, certificates, firewall rules, load balancing, and SQL migrations
• Ensure workloads meet BCDR, backup, and DR requirements
• Partner with QA, application, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams
• Support CAB/architecture review processes and lead post-wave retrospectives

Requirements

• Strong Azure architecture and hands-on migration experience
• Experience with Azure Migrate, Bicep/ARM, Azure networking, and landing zones
• Experience leading data center/cloud migrations and production cutovers
• Strong understanding of security, governance, RBAC, DNS, networking, and DR
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments is a plus
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills
