Job Duties
- Design, build, and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation, Kubernetes, and AWS hybrid cloud environments supporting Space Force operations.
- Configure, secure, and troubleshoot vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
- Containerize and deploy application workloads using Docker and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and reliability improvements across compute, storage, and network components.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, architecture artifacts, and recurring platform performance reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, engineering, or related field with 9+ years of related experience; additional experience may substitute per SAIC policy.
- Active Top Secret Clearance or DOE Q clearance with SCI eligibility; able to obtain/maintain TS/SCI.
- Current Security+ (or DoD 8570 IAT II equivalent) or ability to obtain within 3 months.
- 3+ years hands-on experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting VMware vSphere/VCF or equivalent enterprise virtualization.
- Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes and containerized workloads (Docker or similar).
