Cloud Engineer (Software Engineer - Senior)

Position Description

CGI Federal is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a program for the Army's PL ALTESS contract. The position supports ALTESS, a managed service provider delivering infrastructure, platform, and application services across data centers and commercial clouds.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support ALTESS in offering managed cloud services in public clouds, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and private clouds.
• Manage and migrate on-premises applications to the cloud.
• Ensure alignment with Department of Defense digital transformation strategies.
• Manage IT service delivery across various hosting locations.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Computer Science or IT.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Mid to senior level Cloud Engineer experience.
• Security+ (or equivalent Information Assurance [IA] certification) and computing environment certification (e.g., MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple large-scale projects.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Puppet, Chef).
• Working knowledge of code repositories tools (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, AWS CodeDeploy).

Desired Qualifications

• Senior IT experience in networking or equivalent experience.

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $127,500.00 - $251,100.00.
