Cloud Engineer, Jr

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Cloud Engineer, Jr on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission. The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally. Maintain and improve existing build and deployment processes using CI/CD tools to automate and optimize service deployments within development, test, and production systemsIntegrate with enterprise authentication servicesMaintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc.)Manage and aggregate server logs and monitor for security and system related incidentsMonitor and analyze system performance, such as server load and resource usageApply configuration management disciplines to maintain software revisions, security patches, hardening, and documentation along with maintaining documentation and ensuring continuity of recurring tasksEnforce best practices for security and reliability, and drive security initiatives, like access control and vulnerability testingWork with A&A Teams to maintain security requirements for operation of systemsFollow up on engineering tasks for operational solutions, and validate completionParticipate in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetingsOn-call support will be required Clearance Required TS/SCI with eligibility to obtain CI poly Degree and Years of Experience Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of years of experience and education. 3+ years of relevant experience Desired Certifications Security+ Certification Required Skills Willing to learn cross-domain services available at customer agencyA working understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, BashGitLab CI/CD pipelines, typically centered around deploying or updating applications/services in OpenShift or AWSStrong understanding of DevSecOps and software/application development processesUnderstanding of GitLab or other DevSecOps/Continuous Integration toolsKnowledge of network technologies, common infrastructure components, load balancers, firewalls, virtual and physical infrastructure design Desired Skills Multi-platform integration (connecting processes and services between AWS, GitLab, OpenShift, Nexus, Self Service)AWS serverless infrastructure componentsBackground as a system administratorCross Domain engineeringAWS DiodeUnderstanding of access management and security groups (i.e. IAM, S3 bucket, SSH, VPN, etc.)Ability to write and use unit and functional testingExperience using Jira and ConfluenceStrong written and oral communicationCustomer engagement Abile Group, founded in July 2004 to support the Intelligence Community and its contractors across Enterprise Analytics, IT & Systems Engineering, and Program & Project Management, merged with Valiant Solutions in January 2026 - an established provider of cybersecurity technologies and services for Federal Agencies since 2005.
