Cloud Engineer (Atlanta)
About the role
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to enable efficient delivery of value to our federal customers through effective infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, empowering application developers to deliver at the speed of business. The Cloud Engineer will support the operations of the cloud environment through observability, IaC, and cloud-native best practices. You'll be the go-to person for teams that depend on our build and deployment workflows, responding to their needs, unblocking their pipelines, and helping them adopt CI/CD best practices. You'll also explore and test best practices around agentic AI and its potential applications to enhance automation and efficiency for our teams and clients.
Federal Compliance: Identity verification will happen at multiple stages of the interview process to adhere to federal compliance. This role is based in the US for a US work-authorized person.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S citizen or green-card holder
- Must be based in Atlanta, Georgia
- 4+ years of Cloud DevOps experience
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain a public trust security clearance
Skills & Experience
- Experience with writing Python from scratch, able to design, structure, and build scripts and small tools independently, not just modify existing code. Candidates should be prepared to discuss specific examples of Python they have written
- Experience with implementing cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure
- Experience designing and deploying AWS serverless architectures
- Experience with core AWS services for compute, storage, networking, and IAM
- Experience managing network/compute/database infrastructure with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
- Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and workflows, ideally with GitHub Actions, including managing and monitoring GitHub Actions runners
- Experience with Linux, and Bash scripting
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, containerD)
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools in cloud environments
- Experience troubleshooting production incidents in distributed systems
- Experience using LLMs and automation tools to optimize workflows and processes
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity, and access management
- Ability to develop the architecture for continuous integration and deployment as well as continuous monitoring
- Expert in basic git actions like cloning, creating branches, navigating between branches, staging code for commit, committing code, resetting, and merging
- Ability to support the Product Owner in reducing backlog according to priorities and timelines identified in JIRA
- Proven ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments
- Ability to operate and manage work, strategically reason, build relationships and influence others

- Experience designing and deploying Azure environments and services
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
- Experience using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot to build applications or automation, or experience using agents to assist with infrastructure operations tasks
