Full-time, exempt (salaried) position with variable work type.

Pay

Grade PG 18: $84,427.20 – $126,568.00 annually. Target compensation range: $92,000 - $115,000.

Responsibilities

  • Development (40%)
    • Develop and customize ServiceNow applications and modules using App Engine and Flow Designer.
    • Design, build, and implement complex workflows.
    • Develop and maintain integrations with third-party tools using APIs, MID Server, Integration Hub, and Spoke.
    • Build custom applications and bots within MS Teams to streamline enterprise communication.
    • Develop reports and dashboards as required.
  • Workflow Automation (25%)
    • Design and develop end-to-end automation using Power Automate.
    • Build low-code, no-code applications using Power Apps.
    • Ensure SSDLC methodology is consistently followed, including architecture oversight, requirement translation, and deployment to staging/production.
    • Develop continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Project and Vendor Management (10%)
    • Act as the technical contact for outsourced web development projects and coordinate assigned IT projects.
    • Serve as project leader or coordinator for assigned projects.
    • Provide Vendor Management team with accurate and timely information during periodic reviews of third-party providers.
  • Policy/Procedure Adherence (10%)
    • Create and maintain Systems & Software Development Life Cycle procedures, including training business units on proper usage.
    • Develop and maintain Secure Coding Standards (SCS), including deployment procedures and updates for third-party tools and industry trends.
    • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls.
    • Report gaps in policies, procedures, and controls to leadership to mitigate member impact and risk.
  • Daily Administration and Production Support (10%)
    • Provide 24x7x365 support (including after-hours/weekends) for external websites/applications, the Corporate Intranet, and associated internal web applications.
    • Develop and maintain alerting systems to notify key IT and Line of Business staff of critical events and outages.
    • Provide regular updates/reports on application issues and system uptime to IT Leadership.
    • Build, monitor, and maintain an auditable release management environment for web content updates.
    • Document and maintain diagrams depicting web application flows and environment designs.
    • Review IT Security documentation on security gaps and develop/implement remediation plans.
    • Develop, report, and maintain actionable retention schedules for web content systems.
  • IT Strategy/Planning/Budgeting (5%)
    • Assist in updating the 3-Year IT Operating Plan for public websites, corporate intranet, and supporting tools/services.
    • Support IT Management by providing accurate information for the annual budgeting process.
    • Evaluate and recommend tools, third-party services, or providers to maintain enterprise web presence and maximize uptime.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent combination of formal training and experience may be considered.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in ServiceNow development, API integrations, and workflow automation.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in cloud computing technologies (IaaS, PaaS, containers like Docker or Kubernetes) and best practices.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow development areas:
    • Client Scripts
    • Business Rules
    • UI Policies
    • Flow Designer
    • Integration Hub
    • Service Catalog
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and widely used Linux distributions (Ubuntu, SUSE).
  • Experience managing and designing mid-sized or larger Cloud Services Solutions.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, OSPF, BGP, stateful firewalling).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to pass a background check for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) or Department of Defense (DoD) to acquire a “Contractor” badge.
