Cloud Engineer

About the role

Two Six Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with hands-on experience in Terraform to support our mission-critical project. This role is critical in automating our infrastructure provisioning and ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across our systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Migrate existing CloudFormation code to Terraform
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and maintain version-controlled infrastructure
• Work with DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to implement CI/CD and deployment strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps
• Strong proficiency with Terraform (writing modules, managing state, workspaces, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud provider
• Experience with DevOps tools and utilities to include Github, Ansible & CDK
• Ability to work effectively in a Linux-based development environment
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and IAM in the cloud
• Proficient in at least one scripting language

• Terraform SME
• Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers such as [AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP]
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Hands-on experience with Python
• Knowledge of containerization
• Strong knowledge of security principles and practices

Pay

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. Salary Range $153,650 - $230,476 USD
