Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement next-generation commercial cloud architectures with a focus on security, scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
- Lead the migration, re-platforming, and integration of applications into cloud environments, focusing on modernization, automation, and process improvement.
- Apply expertise in tools such as AWS, Azure, Linux, scripting languages like PowerShell/bash, and ITSM tools to create efficiencies that enable mission success.
- Ensure adherence to DoD cloud computing policies (e.g., guidelines for IL5/IL6 Commercial Cloud Service Offerings).
- Take an active role in testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex cloud/virtualization systems while keeping pace with technological advancements.
- Conduct strategic analysis and provide actionable recommendations to maximize performance while minimizing costs.
- Operate as a trusted technical advisor, consulting senior leadership while showcasing your expertise on scalable cloud solutions in high-stakes, mission-critical environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) and 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering, IT systems, or related fields.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- AWS Cloud Engineer Certification and experience operating AWS environments.
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CECCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP).
- Computing Environment Certification for Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Oracle, etc.). Azure certifications preferred.
- Expertise in AWS GovCloud services and IL5/IL6 environments.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and proficiency in command-line administration.
- PowerShell/Bash experience for scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) tool suites and familiarity with Active Directory forests, enclave domain systems, and security measures like STIGs.
Pay
Target salary range $80,001 - $120,000.
