About the role
Planned Systems International (PSI) is an Enterprise IT services company focusing on designing, building, securing, and operating cutting-edge software solutions for Federal Government organizations. We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer to support Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) in their global Command and Control Mission Support (C2MS) program.
Responsibilities
- Focuses on the customer to deliver a solid product.
- Responsible for resolving IT software and infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications.
- Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users.
- Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.
- Supports new infrastructure projects.
- Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
Requirements
- Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
- Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience in Amazon Web Services, Azure, and other commercial cloud vendors.
- Experience creating and editing CloudFormation, TerraForm, Azure Resource Manager, and other IaC templates.
- Cloud Foundation Certification (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or other Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Containers.
- Experience working in an Agile organization.
- Automation and Scripting experience using Python, JavaScript, GO, and other scripting languages.
- Experience developing dashboards in CloudWatch, Splunk, and ELK.
- DevSecOps automation and pipeline experience.
- Interested in performance monitoring and developing KPIs.
- Knowledge of Special Operations, SOCOM, and C4ISR systems and networks.
- Knowledge of DoD information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
