Summary Our client is looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to facilitate the reliability, scalability, and performance of their systems. This role will collaborate closely with development and IT operations teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure that supports high availability and fault tolerance, while also enhancing system performance through automation and monitoring. Responsibilities Establish monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues, respond to incidents, and minimize downtime. Evaluate system performance and conduct improvements to ensure high availability, low latency, and efficiency. Create automation tools for standard tasks like deployment, scaling, and testing to enhance reliability and reduce human error. Estimate resource needs and plan for future growth and make sure the system can handle increased demand. Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve issues, as well as implement fixes to prevent recurrence. Establish and maintain clear documentation on system architecture, processes, and incident management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or relevant field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. At least 4-6 years’ experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer or similar role required. Strong skills with Windows-based systems, administering hybrid Active Directory environments, and deploying workloads on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Strong skills in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, etc.), experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, JSON) and CI/CD Pipelines. Strong skills in network protocols, DNS, load balancing, and security principles Skilled in enterprise IAM solutions (Microsoft Entra ID) including Single Sign-On Federation using SAML, OIDC/OAuth 2.0 Demonstrated experience deploying monitoring, alerting and reporting solutions for business critical infrastructure and applications utilizing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, PowerBI, Azure Monitor (Log Analytics, EventHub), Nagios. Experience with Git and other version control systems. Certifications in cloud platforms are preferred (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) Excellent analytical skills, including a sound understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and turn them into application and operational requirements Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong presentation skills Excellent problem solving aptitude and skills Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of teams and stakeholders across all levels. Experience with technical troubleshooting Ability to manage and facilitate change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately.
