Cloud Engineer

About the role

The role involves designing, deploying, and managing virtual cloud infrastructures across hybrid environments in Microsoft Azure Cloud. Responsibilities include automating deployments and configurations using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, provisioning, maintaining, and scaling cloud resources, monitoring resource utilization, troubleshooting system, application, and infrastructure issues, ensuring infrastructure meets security, compliance, and operational standards within a DevSecOps framework, and implementing and managing containerization and orchestration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage virtual cloud infrastructures in Microsoft Azure Cloud
• Automate deployments and configurations using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and ARM/BICEP
• Provision, maintain, and scale cloud resources in Microsoft Azure in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Maintain and monitor cloud resource utilization
• Identify and troubleshoot system, application, and infrastructure issues
• Ensure infrastructure meets security, compliance, and operational standards within a DevSecOps framework
• Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes

Requirements

• US Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance (and ability to obtain SCI)
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or Master's with 2+ years (additional experience accepted in lieu of degree)
• DoD 8140 Intermediate certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Intermediate Azure Certifications (e.g., AZ-104) or similar from other Cloud Service Providers
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack) and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

Qualifications

Additional experience in virtualization technologies, public cloud platforms, IaC tools, and containerization is preferred but not required.
