About the role
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer skilled in conducting assessments of cybersecurity architectures and implementing improvements in flexibility, scalability, and security. The candidate will attend coordination and synchronization sessions within the geographic area focused on cybersecurity tasking, operations support, and maintenance of cybersecurity systems. They will maintain awareness of system security status and recommend solutions to prevent unauthorized activities. The candidate will provide engineering guidance to cybersecurity engineers Level I and II and guide the implementation of appropriate operational structures and processes to ensure an effective cybersecurity program.
Responsibilities
- Initiates actions to conduct cybersecurity engineering research and analysis and provides recommendations for the implementation of security mechanisms
- Develops and delivers articulate and effective briefings/presentations on complex cybersecurity engineering topics as applicable to assigned projects to any size audience that may include high-level decision makers
- Plans and schedules the installation of new or modified security hardware, operating systems, and software applications
- Analyzes complex information independently and takes appropriate actions, and reviews and implements recommendations from other
- Captures and maintains comprehensive knowledge and understanding of DOD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) engineering efforts, across multiple engineering disciplines

Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience with cybersecurity or information assurance
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level II Certification

Benefits
Salary range information will be disclosed consistent with applicable state and local pay transparency laws once available. For this position, the anticipated salary range is $118,000.000-$125,000.00, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
