Cloud DevSecOps Engineer
About the role
The Cloud DevSecOps Engineer supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Video Services (GVS) business area to enable the integration of video services into the Department of War. This is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of remote (20%) and onsite (80%) support in Chantilly, VA or Fort Meade, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Automate security scanning and manage cloud identity and compliance, ensuring software is secure.
- Maintain cloud environments for misconfigurations and enforce security policies.
- Design, document, implement, and maintain enterprise Cloud Application capabilities, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings for DoW customers.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the development team on designing complex software systems.
- Act as a high-level technical expert and address issues related to systems integration and compatibility.
- Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time and improving current techniques.
- Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Instruct, direct, and check the work of other task personnel.
- Responsible for quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field.
- Experience: 8+ years of related experience.
- Security Clearance: Minimum of an active Secret security clearance.
- Certification: CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II 8570 certification.
- Technical Skills: Ability to integrate security practices directly into cloud-native development and deployment workflows; experience in DevSecOps utilizing, configuring, and integrating tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, Gitlab, Sonatye Nexus; expertise in developing, maintaining, and contributing to technical and process documentation; strong understanding of DoW Cloud governance and application architectures required to implement cloud services for DoW customers; specific focus is on user interface development for government off-the-shelf interfaces; expertise with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365 management and configuration (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Suite); automate configuration, validation, and monitoring processes using a mix of scripting, development, and configuration, reducing manual errors and deployment times; strong knowledge of modern UI frameworks and libraries; experience in agile methodologies, especially related to release scheduling, and utilizing tools such as JIRA and Confluence; proficiency in developing and executing test plans.

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
