About the role
As a Cloud Developer Manager, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in delivering secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions that enable mission-critical applications and services across both commercial and government cloud environments.
- Lead and manage the development, deployment, and operational support of cloud-native applications and infrastructure across Commercial Cloud and AWS GovCloud environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant solutions that advance customer mission objectives.
- Collaborate with software developers, cloud engineers, DevSecOps teams, cybersecurity professionals, architects, and customer stakeholders to deliver innovative cloud capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and support evolving mission requirements.
- Drive modernization initiatives, continuous process improvements, automation, and cloud adoption strategies while fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Lead the team in resolving complex technical challenges and delivering high-quality solutions on schedule.
- Utilize AWS cloud services (including AWS GovCloud), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), DevSecOps practices, Git-based source control, scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash), cloud monitoring and logging tools, and Agile development methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
- 10+ years of related experience
- Experience managing AWS Commercial Cloud and AWS GovCloud environments
- Expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipeline development, DevSecOps, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Knowledge of best cloud security practices and Agile software development
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance)
- US citizenship
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting regulated or government cloud environments
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $129,813 - $149,500. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
