About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled IoT Cloud Developer to join our dynamic team at DTS. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable cloud-native solutions primarily on AWS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including delivery and client teams, to translate complex business requirements into robust, high-performing architectures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in cloud computing, IoT, and serverless architectures, along with a builder’s mindset and a collaborative approach. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the successful deployment and operation of IoT and cloud solutions that meet our clients’ needs for scalability, reliability, and security. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience in cloud engineering, specifically with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, S3, SNS, and AWS IoT Core.Strong proficiency in programming languages including TypeScript, Golang, or similar.Experience designing and implementing serverless architectures and event-driven systems.Familiarity with data ingestion, transformation, and analytics tools such as AWS Glue, Athena, and QuickSight.Knowledge of container orchestration with AWS Fargate or similar services.Understanding of cloud security best practices and ability to implement security controls in AWS environments.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers is a plus. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance cloud-native solutions on AWS, focusing on IoT integrations and serverless architectures.Support and enhance AWS IoT Core-based systems, ensuring seamless device data integration with backend services.Create and optimize scalable DynamoDB data models to support high-throughput, event-driven workloads.Implement event-driven architectures utilizing Kinesis streams, SNS topics, and S3 for data ingestion, processing, and storage.Support data workflows involving ingestion, transformation, and analytics using AWS Glue, Athena, and QuickSight.Evaluate and implement AWS Fargate for longer-running or stateful services, including those written in Golang.Monitor system performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and cost efficiency.Investigate incidents within distributed systems, diagnose root causes, and document solutions and best practices.Implement security controls aligned with AWS best practices to safeguard infrastructure and data assets.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to associate cloud engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to internal teams and clients, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals.
