Cloud Data Engineer
Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing coordination across data product domain teams and helping them establish delivery excellence through structured onboarding, platform setup, framework adoption, and engineering enablement. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic bridge between the Core Group and domain teams to drive consistency, scalability, governance, and effective execution across the data platform ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee Core Group enablement initiatives across data product domain teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise cloud data standards and delivery expectations.
Cook up with domain teams to support team onboarding, platform adoption, and implementation readiness for enterprise data engineering solutions.
Drive platform setup and operating model alignment, ensuring teams are equipped with the required environments, standards, and engineering practices.
Lead rollout and adoption of data engineering frameworks, reusable components, and delivery standards across multiple teams.
Align closely with cloud data warehouse strategy and implementation, ensuring standardized and scalable data integration, transformation, and consumption patterns.
Promote engineering best practices across teams, including code quality, testing, governance, auditability, and scalable development patterns.
Partner with stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to ensure successful adoption of cloud data platforms, enterprise frameworks, and curated data solutions.
Guide strategic decisions related to platform evolution, framework improvements, and scalable onboarding models for domain teams.
Support a culture of continuous improvement, reusable architecture, and operational excellence across the Core Group ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
At least 12+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud data platforms, Data warehouse or enterprise data architecture.
Proven experience leading enterprise platform enablement, onboarding programs, or cross-team cloud data initiatives.
Strong expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-based data architectures.
Experience building or governing scalable data frameworks, curated data layers, and enterprise engineering standards.
Strong stakeholder management and ability to coordinate across multiple business and technology teams.
Experience with data governance, quality controls, and regulatory or enterprise compliance expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services, banking, or regulated data environments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
