Accountabilities
- Serve as a technical advisor and implementation specialist, helping clients adopt, manage, and optimize cloud solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate as both an engineer and a trusted partner.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing technical guidance, proactive support, and cloud expertise.
- Analyze customer business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud architecture designs.
- Design, configure, and maintain cloud environments across AWS and Azure platforms.
- Implement and support core cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, identity management, security, and databases.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure solutions, including virtual machines, firewalls, file management, and cloud-native services.
- Support cloud migrations, workload implementations, and end-to-end deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot complex AWS, Azure, and Linux-related issues while serving as a subject matter expert.
- Perform security assessments, governance reviews, licensing analysis, and cloud optimization activities.
- Create technical documentation, processes, and standards to improve operational consistency.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend solutions that improve customer outcomes.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges and communicate progress effectively with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong cloud engineering experience, deep Linux expertise, and the ability to support enterprise-level cloud environments.
- Comfortable working independently, collaborating with customers, and adapting quickly to new technical challenges.
- Extensive experience with Linux operating systems, including system administration, patching, application management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and architecture.
- Experience with Azure cloud platforms and related technologies.
- Knowledge of core cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, virtual machines, identity and access management, security, and compliance.
- Experience designing, configuring, and supporting cloud infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with AWS Government or Azure Government environments is highly desirable.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Understanding of cloud governance, security frameworks, and compliance practices.
- Experience with Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, and GNOME environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD development pipelines and deployment automation.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and support unfamiliar technical environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and recommend process improvements.
- Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or Linux administration are strongly preferred.
- Ability to meet applicable government clearance requirements, including eligibility for background investigation.
