As a Lead Consultant on Turnberry's Cloud Solutions team, you'll bring our Cloud Migration and Modernization offering to life for Life Sciences clients — pharma, biotech, CRO, and healthcare organizations where architecture decisions carry real regulatory weight. You'll own target-state cloud designs and migration strategy that hold up under GxP, HIPAA, and 21 CFR Part 11 scrutiny, help clients unlock the value of their cloud investments while keeping costs in check, and act as the technical throughline between engineering teams and client quality and compliance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud architecture and solution design on AWS and Azure across migration, modernization, and greenfield builds
• Run current-state assessments and produce target-state architectures with a defensible migration path, sequencing, and risk profile
• Own the decisions that matter: landing zone design, network topology, identity and access, compute and container strategy, data architecture, resiliency, and cost posture
• Design within Life Sciences constraints, including validated and GxP environments, computer system validation impact, data integrity, audit traceability, HIPAA and PHI handling, and 21 CFR Part 11 considerations
• Build cost models and optimization plans that hold up over the life of the platform
• Serve as the senior technical voice with client stakeholders, translating business and scientific objectives into architecture
• Present and defend designs to client architecture review boards and quality/compliance organizations, and brief client leadership on technical tradeoffs and risk
• Contribute to pre-sales by supporting solution estimation and proposal content
• Set technical direction for engineers on the engagement and hold the quality bar on what gets built
• Mentor consultants and architects, and contribute to reference architectures and assessment frameworks
• Support Turnberry's AWS and Microsoft partner positioning through competency work and certification

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud architecture and delivery, with hands-on design and implementation experience across AWS and Azure at minimum
• Direct experience serving Life Sciences, pharma, biotech, or healthcare clients
• Working knowledge of GxP, computer system validation, HIPAA, and the compliance frameworks common to regulated cloud environments
• Strong grounding in security architecture, networking, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep), and well-architected design principles
• Fluency with data and integration patterns
• Consulting or professional services experience, with comfort owning technical credibility in front of a client
• Ability to move between a deep engineering discussion and a client-leadership briefing without losing either audience
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent strongly preferred
• Willingness to travel to client sites as engagements require

Pay

The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $190,000 or the hourly equivalent. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
