About the Role
Shape the future of the DoD's enterprise cloud. As a Cloud Architect on this program, you will evaluate Anything-as-a-Service (XaaS) offerings across AWS, Microsoft, Google, and Oracle from off-premises to tactical edge and advise the government on the architecture decisions that drive warfighter cloud adoption.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Research Cloud Service Offering (CSO) technical feasibility against DoD demand signals and emerging requirements.
- Provide technical oversight and analysis of cloud architecture designs for security, performance, and mission alignment.
- Analyze XaaS offerings across multiple CSPs off-prem, on-prem, hybrid, and tactical edge.
- Brief the DoD user community and lead round tables on cloud adoption and CSO implementation.
- Review CSP deliverables and JWCC utilization trends against commercial best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + 11 years of experience, OR 15 years total in enterprise cloud architecture and design.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Meets DoD 8140 requirements for Work Role 628, Software/Cloud Architect (Advanced).
What Sets You Apart
- Multi-cloud architecture certifications across two or more CSPs (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI).
- Experience with DoD Cloud Computing SRG Impact Levels 46, tactical edge architectures, and hybrid cloud models.
- Experience briefing flag/SES-level leadership and authoring white papers or technical roadmaps.

DoD 8140 WRC 628 (Advanced) examples: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, ISC2 CCSP.
