About the Role

The closing driver is paid at a higher rate and has additional in-store tasks at the end of the day, including helping with dishes and cleaning the store. To receive the higher pay rate, you must close a minimum of two nights per week. You can typically be the late driver for your other shifts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 with a two-year driving history
  • Must pass MVR and background requirements
  • Must be listed as a driver on the insurance policy covering the vehicle you will use

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position.
  • Walking: Short distances for short durations on surfaces including ceramic tile, bricks, and linoleum. Work surfaces range from 36 to 48 inches in height.
  • Sitting: Paperwork is completed in an office at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds) are unloaded using a hand truck and stacked onto shelves up to 72 inches high.
  • Carrying: Items such as 3-pound cans, 30-pound pizza sauce, and trays of pizza dough (12 pounds per tray, carried three at a time).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Trays on dollies (24–30 inches high) require up to 7.5 pounds of force to push or pull.
  • Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders for tasks like changing prices, washing walls, or performing maintenance.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist is required at the pizza assembly station, front counter, and when stocking ingredients.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally performed to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuous reaching in all directions (up, down, and forward) for tasks like operating oven controls, stocking shelves, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
  • Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination is essential. Frequent use of hands for shaping dough, using a pizza peel, assembling boxes, and grasping tools.

Tools and Equipment

Team members may use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.
