Responsibilities

  • Process, close, fund, and service real estate-secured transactions accurately and in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure closings meet legal compliance with lending laws and regulations.
  • Collect documents and confirm underwriting conditions are met.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to order title commitments, appraisals, and flood zone determinations.
  • Review title insurance commitments, deeds, real estate title documents, UCC filings, and other related documents to confirm collateral lien position.
  • Confirm legal documents required for closing and parties required to sign each document.
  • Create or review settlement statements and disbursement agreements to ensure accurate fund disbursement.
  • Coordinate on-site and off-site closings, explain forms, answer client questions, and secure signatures.
  • Administer funding execution and maintain proper booking and data records.
  • Work with Legal and Title Review teams on collateral-related documents such as consents, subordinations, and contract assignments.
  • Draft supplemental loan closing documents as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales to service client relationships, assist with transactions, and support loan servicing.
  • Provide backup to Lending Client Coordinators as needed.
  • Conduct post-close reviews to ensure transactions comply with policies and procedures.
  • Document actions taken to confirm the organization has obtained the expected lien position as required by law and policy.

Skills and experience we prefer

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, legal, agriculture, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Closing Agent License; Insurance Producer License preferred (or ability to obtain within twelve months where applicable).
  • Commissioned as a Notary Public for the state (or ability to obtain within three months); may include e-notary.
  • Working knowledge of loan approval processes and requirements, personal property security documents, real estate, legal, banking, security requirements, and title insurance.
  • Working knowledge of legal descriptions and collateral documents to gather appropriate information for document preparation.
  • Basic accounting and mathematical skills to calculate data, reconcile funds, and determine payoffs.

Pay

Base Pay: $47,100 – $66,600 USD
