CLN Clinic Assistant, Marshall Medical Centers South- Albertville Primary Care, Full Time, 1st Shift

About the role

Lake Guntersville, a mountain-lakes jewel, is located approximately 30 miles from metro Huntsville – and is home to Marshall Medical Centers. Marshall Medical Centers, an affiliate of the Huntsville Hospital Health System, serves the residents of Marshall County and the surrounding area (population approximately 125,000).

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients, under the direction of a physician, who present with a broad range of medical complaints.
• Receives patients, performs vital signs, specimen collection, gives injections, documents charts as necessary, communicates clinical information to patients and other essential parties, maintains all appropriate clinical logs as defined by MMC guidelines, and assists the other staff however necessary.
• As office receptionist: responsible for daily front office operations for the practice. Tasks include, but not limited to: answering the phone, making patient appointments, assembling charts, collecting co-pays and collecting any balances due, taking and forwarding messages for clinical staff and entering appropriate patient demographic information.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent – required.
• Licensure/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited institution – preferred.
• Prior experience: Prior experience in another physician office practice – preferred.
