CLN Clinic Assistant - DeKalb Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Centre, AL - Full Time
About the role
Assists the physician in patient treatment issues, provides direct patient care, and maintains proper standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Performs patient check out procedures
- Schedules follow up and/or referral visits
- Collects deductibles and co-pays
- Aids in physical examinations
- Obtains and prepares laboratory specimens for transport
- Provides clerical support and maintains scheduled events
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information
- Enforces safety practices for patients and hospital
- Reports and initiates action on safety hazards
- Participates in safety instructional programs
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Six months to one year of physician office experience preferred. Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
