About the role

The team at Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Clinician (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, MHC-LP) to join our Dover Behavioral Health Team. We are committed to supporting mental health in our community and offering a supportive work environment.

Job Requirements

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
  • Must possess NYS license.
  • Possess strong administrative, time management and organizational skills.
  • Be an adept communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide clients with individual and group therapy.
  • Aid in the intake and screening of new clients and provide information on their psycho-social history.
  • Complete a differential diagnosis for clients and refer them to the appropriate program(s) and/or case manager/licensed prescriber.
  • Create and modify a treatment plan for clients based on their progress in therapy.
  • Maintain case records, document all clients' contacts, and meet deadlines.
  • Develop and implement follow-up studies to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with appropriate parties on client’s treatment (e.g., schools, Social Services, probation department).
  • Inform and educate clients about community activities to address substance use and mental health issues.
  • Advocate for clients and act as a liaison with community resources.
  • Train colleagues on issues related to mental health treatment.
