Clinician- Temporary

Location: Turlock, California

Temporary, full-time exempt position in the Behavioral Health department, reporting to the Core Program Manager.

Position Summary

The Clinician provides collateral, case management, individual, family, and group therapy to clients and families. Additional responsibilities include compliance with regulations, care coordination, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & Intervention
  • Complete client screenings and assessments.
  • Provide in-home or in-office individual, family, or group therapy.
  • Coordinate with the team to provide assessments, treatment planning, or evaluation for assigned clients.
• Planning & Collaboration
  • Develop individualized safety and service plans tailored to each youth’s needs.
  • Train and guide staff on plan implementation and behavior support strategies.
• Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete all assessments, plans, and documentation according to Medi-Cal, county, and agency standards.
  • Follow all incident reporting procedures promptly and accurately.
  • Participate in individual and group supervision, as well as team meetings.
  • Provide on-call emergency services on rotation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling Psychology.
• Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with children or youth in a behavioral health, crisis, or residential setting (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of crisis assessment, trauma-informed care, and safety planning.
• Meets all state-required employment conditions, including:
  • DOJ fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance.
  • TB/Health physical.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance.

Pay

$75,000–$76,800 per year for employees hired in the Central Valley, CA. The pay range reflects the typical starting rate for candidates in this region. Candidates hired in Southern California or the Bay Area may receive higher starting salaries due to cost of living and market data differences. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available, paid 50% at 1 month and 50% at 6 months.

Schedule

Full-time, exempt, temporary position based in Turlock, CA, with an expectation of on-site presence.
