POSITION SUMMARY

Clinicians will deliver comprehensive mental health services, including assessment, psychotherapy, case management, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention. They may facilitate therapeutic groups or family sessions and participate in an on-call rotation. Clinicians assist in coordinating with external agencies like Probation Departments, Schools, Juvenile Dependency Court, and County Behavioral Health Services. This role is eligible for bonuses and merit increases based on clinical hours, licensure, and experience.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
- 1+ years’ experience in report writing, assessment/diagnostic skills, and group/family therapy skills.
- PsyD/PhD/LCSW/LMFT preferred if not licensed.
- Valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
- Completion of CPR/First Aid within 30 days of employment.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize a trauma-informed approach in working with children and families.
- Provide individual and/or family therapy, formulate diagnoses, and complete clinical assessments and treatment plans.
- Acquire and apply up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based interventions and methodologies.
- Administer measures such as the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 and interpret results to guide treatment.
- Utilize the Whole Person Care model to enhance client empowerment.
- Comply with HIPAA and SCCS confidentiality standards.
- Adhere to relevant standards and regulations for productivity, timeliness, and documentation.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with outside agencies to ensure clients meet treatment goals and comply with court orders.
- Attend required meetings, such as Children and Family Team meetings.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and cohesive care.
- Manage crisis situations and use de-escalation techniques as necessary.
- Opportunity to provide psychotherapy to commercially insured clients for an additional stipend through South Coast’s Hope Healing Connection Program.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Understanding of the child welfare system and child development principles.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic approaches for high-risk youth.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remain organized, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle without restrictions, often in heavy traffic and frequently long distances.
- Sit, stand, climb stairs (1 or more flights).
- Walk while in route to and during family visits.
- Sit and use computer in office settings.
SALARY RANGE
- Clincian Tier I: Masters Degree with less than 1500 hours $71,640 - $74,280
- Clincian Tier II: Masters Degree with 1500 Hours completed $76,920- $79,600
- Clincian Tier III: Licensed $85,280 - $87,960
- Clincian Tier IV : 2 + years post License $90,640 - $93,320
