Clinician

Community Living of Rhode Island (CLRI) is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Licensed Clinician to join our team. The Licensed Clinician will provide clinical support to individuals receiving services through CLRI and will work closely with participants, families, direct support staff, residential and day program teams, nursing, case managers, and other professionals. In addition to traditional clinical responsibilities, this position will provide behavioral consultation to help staff and participants address behavioral concerns and promote positive outcomes. The clinician will assist with observing behaviors, identifying patterns and potential triggers, reviewing behavioral data and documentation, and supporting the implementation of appropriate strategies. Essential Responsibilities Provide clinical support to individuals receiving services through CLRI. Participate in ISP meetings, treatment planning, team meetings, and other participant-related meetings. Monitor participant progress and identify changes in clinical, emotional, or behavioral needs. Provide clinical consultation and guidance to staff regarding participant needs. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, case managers, nursing, and other members of the participant's support team. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation. Review participant records, progress notes, and other documentation to identify areas requiring follow-up. Assist with identifying appropriate clinical supports, interventions, and referrals. Provide support during clinical or behavioral situations when appropriate. Behavioral Support Responsibilities Observe and assess behavioral concerns within the scope of the clinician's education, training, and professional license. Assist staff in identifying possible triggers, patterns, and environmental factors related to behaviors. Review behavioral documentation and available data to identify trends or changes in behavior. Assist with developing practical, person-centered strategies to support participants. Provide guidance to staff regarding appropriate responses to behavioral concerns. Assist staff with consistently implementing established behavioral strategies and support plans. Monitor participant responses to behavioral strategies and communicate concerns or changes to the appropriate team members. Participate in behavioral observations when appropriate. Assist with identifying possible medical, environmental, communication, emotional, or other factors that may contribute to behavioral changes. Work collaboratively with Behavior Analysts or other behavioral professionals when involved in a participant's care. Communicate significant behavioral concerns, changes, and recommendations to CLRI leadership and the appropriate members of the participant's support team. Support a positive, person-centered approach to behavioral support that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life. Staff Consultation & Training Provide clinical and behavioral guidance to direct support professionals and other staff. Assist with participant-specific training and education. Help staff understand participant needs and appropriate support strategies. Promote consistency among staff when implementing participant-specific interventions. Attend staff meetings and provide clinical or behavioral consultation as appropriate. Support staff in recognizing changes in participant behavior and knowing when additional clinical or behavioral support may be needed. Documentation & Compliance Complete and maintain required clinical documentation. Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with CLRI policies and applicable licensing and regulatory requirements. Assist with audits, reviews, and requests for clinical documentation. Maintain confidentiality of participant and clinical information. Communicate documentation concerns to the appropriate department or supervisor
