Clinical | Travel:Registered Nurse (RN) / Labor & Delivery - Contract - Days

About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, in partnership with Community Health System (CHS), is offering travel nurse opportunities at a community hospital in Carlsbad, NM. The position is a short‑term assignment of 8, 10, or 13 weeks, providing comprehensive patient care within an integrated network focused on safety and personalized care.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and documentation of care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluate learning needs of patients and families and deliver education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Current state nursing license.
• Appropriate certifications required for the specific position.
• Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Adherence to code of conduct and compliance policies.
• Clear communication skills in English (read, write, speak, understand).
