Work Hours: Full‑time, Days (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) for 40 hrs/week (Hybrid work allowed at manager’s discretion)

What You Will Do
- Clinical Education and Classroom Instruction (40%) – Facilitate instructor‑led and hands‑on training programs using evidence‑based practices and adult learning principles; develop, revise, and implement curriculum, lesson plans, competency assessments, and educational materials; employ varied instructional methods to promote engagement, retention, and skill development; maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment; support onboarding programs, Lunch‑and‑Learns, clinical updates, and workforce development activities.
- Competency Evaluation and Skills Validation (30%) – Demonstrate and instruct clinical procedures and workflows; conduct initial, ongoing, and remediation competency assessments for clinical support staff; evaluate knowledge, technical skills, clinical judgment, and procedural competency; provide timely verbal, written, and real‑time feedback; support MA Apprentice Program skills checks; ensure compliance with THPG standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental expectations.
- Field‑Based Coaching and Clinic Support (10%) – Travel to THPG clinic locations to conduct observations, onboarding support, competency assessments, and educational interventions; collaborate with Practice Managers, Clinical Leads, and operational leaders to identify educational opportunities and develop targeted coaching plans; serve as a clinical resource for staff and leaders.
- Collaboration, Program Support, and Continuous Improvement (10%) – Partner with employees, Practice Managers, Clinical Leaders, Human Resources, the MA Apprentice Program team, and organizational leadership to support clinical education priorities; recommend curriculum improvements and competency development processes; assist with initiatives that promote employee engagement, professional development, clinical excellence, and practice standardization; support departmental goals, special projects, and strategic initiatives as assigned.
- Documentation, Tracking, and Compliance (5%) – Document performance, competency assessment results, coaching activities, and educational interventions in designated systems; track completion of required competencies and learning plans; communicate and follow up on competency status and outcomes; maintain knowledge of policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and evidence‑based practices relevant to clinical education.
- Additional Responsibilities (5%) – Work collaboratively with leadership to evaluate and improve training, competency, and workforce development programs; maintain professional knowledge through ongoing education and professional development activities; perform other duties as assigned to support organizational and departmental objectives.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Four years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree (required) or Bachelor’s Degree (required).
Experience
- 2 years recent experience in an ambulatory clinic setting as a CMA or LVN (with Bachelor’s Degree) or 6 years recent experience in an ambulatory clinic setting as a CMA or LVN (without Bachelor’s Degree) plus 1 year training or teaching using adult learning principles.
Licenses and Certifications
- LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse (upon hire, required) or MA – Medical Assistant Certified (accredited program, upon hire, required).
- CPR Certification (upon hire, required).
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably Epic.
- Ability to use instructional technology, audiovisual equipment, training equipment, and varied teaching methods for classroom, skills‑lab, virtual, and clinic‑based learning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking, facilitation, coaching, and presentation.
- Application of adult learning principles, evidence‑based practice, and instructional best practices.
- Ability to assess clinical skills, provide constructive feedback, support remediation, and promote learner confidence.
- Collaborative relationship‑building with employees, Practice Managers, clinical leaders, providers, HR, MA Apprentice Program leadership, and THPG leadership.
- Effective work in fast‑paced environments with changing priorities, competing deadlines, and evolving needs.

Work Travel Requirements
Local travel approximately 50% of the time; position based in Euless, TX HEB campus (POB 3 within the Texas Health Physician Group and THHEB training) with travel to all service areas.
