Clinical Therapist I

Job Summary

As our Clinical Therapist, you will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, or groups, guiding them through mental health challenges. You will empower clients to achieve personal growth, resilience, and improved functioning.

Responsibilities

• Completes a thorough psychosocial assessment on all assigned patients within policy and program guidelines, including all relevant psychosocial history and available collateral information.
• Develops and updates treatment goals and interventions based on individual assessed needs and documents on the treatment plan, incorporating patient and family input as appropriate.
• Recognizes and responds to exhibitions of potentially suicidal and/or homicidal behavior, following through appropriately to ensure immediate safety.
• Provides culturally competent care, considering race, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and other relevant factors.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers in all aspects of treatment and discharge planning, including education on diagnosis and symptom management.
• Utilizes group therapy processes and techniques in conducting groups, psycho-education, therapeutic activities, and family education and support groups to achieve treatment goals as assigned.

Requirements

• Required: Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker: CA Psychologist: CA or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/Counselor: CAAHA.
• Basic Life Support - CPR.
