Clinical Therapist - Crisis Intervention Services (may underfill as Senior Mental Health Counselor)

About the role

This position will have a primary job assignment on the Waukesha County Crisis Intervention Team and will provide mobile crisis services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mobile crisis services
  • Work on the Waukesha County Crisis Intervention Team

Requirements

  • Six (6) months of prior experience working for a DHS 34 crisis program is highly preferred
  • Work hours: Sunday-Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a master's degree in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational), counseling and guidance, social work or closely related area
  • Candidates must have Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor in Training, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Training, status as a minimum
  • Two (2) years of post bachelor work experience in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational), counseling and guidance, social work or closely related area

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
