Position Summary

Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan is seeking a master's level clinical therapist to work in their children and family outpatient mental health clinic in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Duties

  • Provide direct clinical care in the form of individual and/or family treatment.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes medical providers.
  • Document in the electronic clinical record and treatment planning for compliance with accreditation and licensing and meeting third-party funder conditions.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Master’s level degree in a human services field; Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Addiction Studies
  • Limited or fully licensed through the State of Michigan (Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Limited License Psychologist)
  • Knowledge of childhood development and family dynamics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good moral character with flexibility of work schedule, including the ability to conduct telehealth
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Computer skills; ability to utilize an electronic health record

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for children, adolescents
  • Maintain necessary correspondence and communication with other agency and service providers
  • Carry a caseload of a minimum of 12 cases for part time and 24 cases for full time
  • Prepare assigned clients for discharge or transition through planning and linkage with services as indicated
  • Conduct oneself in an ethical, mature and professional manner and treat clients, referral sources and coworkers with dignity and respect
  • Complete documentation within agency guidelines and timeframes
  • Attend regular supervisory sessions, in-service trainings, all required staff meetings and psychiatric consultation as required

POSITION CLASSIFICATION, TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • Part time or a full-time position
  • Hybrid/office schedule offered
  • The core CCSEM business days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
