Clinical Support Specialist- Canyon Medical Center

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Form verification and preparation for providers.
• Processing and completing patient referrals.
• MEDICATION PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS.
• STAT procedures prior authorization.
• Canceled colonoscopy report.
• Provide coverage for clinical staff that are scheduled out of the office or when the office is short staffed.
• Scanning of medical records into patient’s chart.
• Aid with clinical pool messages including medication refills.
• Aid with incoming calls and scheduling needs.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and providers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Inform providers of issues or concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education in a healthcare related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical and administrative capacity.
• Medical Assistant, LPN or RN preferred.
• Familiarity with patient care procedures and medications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
