About the Role

St. Mary’s Medical Center is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in the HIMG Urology department. This position will maintain a high quality of effectiveness and provide assistance to co-workers and patients in an office-oriented environment. Candidates should anticipate a high volume of in-person and telephone interaction with patients, employees, and co-workers. A pleasant personality and professional demeanor are essential, as you will positively represent the Hospital at all times.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Greet and interact with patients and customers.
• Conduct initial patient screenings.
• Pull and file patient charts.
• Take blood pressure and medical histories.
• Assist doctors with procedures.
• Call or fax prescriptions.
• Administer injections or draw blood.
