Clinical Supervisor Abilene TX Full Time Nights

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the delivery of nursing care through the nursing process.
• Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Providing care including direct care and delegating/nursing care supervision.
• Care coordination for nursing unit activities related to patient care.
• Participating in patient and family education as needed.
• Leading and guiding nursing staff and ancillary personnel.
• Incorporating interdisciplinary review process information into the plan of care and education plan.

Required Skills

• Current, valid, and active RN license in the state of employment.
• BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• ACLS certification from an approved vendor within six months of hire.
• One year of medical/surgical hospital experience required.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Previous Charge Nurse/Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
