About the role
We are seeking a motivated Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. This role works collaboratively within the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication therapy for patients across the lifespan.
Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively within the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication therapy for patients across the lifespan.
- Plays an active role in antimicrobial stewardship efforts, promoting optimal medication use, assisting with formulary management, and supporting pharmacy and hospital policy review.
- Contributes to quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and patient safety while providing clinical drug information to providers, nursing staff, and patients.
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
- Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Current Pharmacist certification or licensure in the State of Idaho.
- Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education or subsequent training.
- Residency not required, but preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Grasp of automated pharmacy systems, IV Laminar Flow Hood or the willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages are preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as dosage calculations, formulation of pharmaceutical preparations, data analysis, exponents and logarithms.
- Ability to follow direction and make independent judgement decisions.
- Capable of cooperating with colleagues and supervisors.
- Works well under pressure, and can meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
- Capable of demonstrating cooperative behavior at all times.
