About the role
The Wellington Hospital is seeking a Clinical Specialist Mammographer to join the Imaging team at The Platinum Medical Centre. The role is permanent, part-time, 22.5 hours per week, with shifts between 0800-1800. The successful candidate will be based at The Platinum Medical Centre, part of The Wellington Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Undertake and perform all mammography procedures including assisting with biopsies and other interventional procedures under the guidance of the Breast Radiologist.
- Support the Breast Radiologist in delivering high-quality care across both screening and symptomatic services.
- Work with advanced 2D and 3D mammography technology, undertaking a varied caseload including mammography examinations, breast interventional procedures and biopsies.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, including Breast Radiologists.
- Prepare for and participate in the launch of Contrast Enhanced Mammography, offering opportunities for candidates with relevant experience or those eager to develop their skills.
Requirements
- HCP registered.
- Certificate of Competency in Mammography.
- Significant post-registration Mammography experience within a breast imaging service.
- Experience undertaking both screening and symptomatic mammography examinations.
- Experience supporting breast interventional procedures and biopsies.
- Experience in Contrast Enhanced Mammography - desirable, but training can be provided.
Qualifications
- Essential: HCPC registration.
- Desirable: Experience in Contrast Enhanced Mammography.
