CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER (HEALTH/CORRECTIONAL FACILITY)-SAFETY, Avenal State Prison (ASP)

Duties

• Conduct assessments and summarize case information to use in diagnosis, treatment (level of care), and dispositional release.
• Diagnoses and/or collaborates in the formulation of a diagnosis.
• Develops, monitors, and modifies treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provides assessments, group therapy, and collateral conferences.
• Documents and evaluates patients’ progress in treatment.
• Coordinates placement with community resources and the Classification and Parole Representative.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)-accredited college or university.
• A current license to practice social work in the State of California.
• At least two years of experience working with individuals in correctional facilities or similar settings.
• Experience conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of mental health disorders and effective treatment strategies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and community resources.

Benefits

This position is exempt from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Pay

The salary range for this position is P $8,678 - Q $9,319.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically full-time, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed.
