Clinical Social Worker

About the role

The Town of Acton is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and community-focused individual to join our team as a full-time Clinical Social Worker. Reporting to the Director of Health and Human Services, this role provides clinical assessment, case management, crisis intervention, and service coordination for vulnerable residents with a primary focus on housing stabilization and older adult services.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of the Town's Health and Human Services Department, this position partners with Public Health, Public Health Nursing, the Council on Aging, Veterans Services, Building and Fire Departments, healthcare providers, and community organizations to address the social, behavioral health, and environmental factors affecting residents' health and well-being.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with progressive experience may be considered.
• Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) preferred.
• Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) with significant case management experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in clinical social work, elder services, public health, medical social work, home care, behavioral health, or municipal human services is preferred.
• Experience working with vulnerable adults, interdisciplinary care teams, and community resource coordination is highly desirable.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, strong knowledge of clinical social work principles, and proven organizational and documentation skills in a case management setting.

Pay

Pay Rate: H-12; starting at $74k-$78k annually.
