About the Role

Colorescience is seeking a Clinical Science Educator — the clinical and scientific bridge between Colorescience and our practice partners. You will translate the science behind our products into product mastery, everyday clinic use, and broader adoption across the portfolio. As a licensed aesthetician or aesthetic nurse with treatment-room experience, you will train partner teams on the science behind our products and integrate Colorescience into every step of the patient journey: post-procedure in the treatment room, pre-procedure in the protocol, and daily at-home regimens.

You'll work across our partner base — onboarding newly signed practices and deepening established accounts — building product mastery, expanding portfolio adoption, and growing the value of every partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new partners: launch newly signed practices with initial team training, protocol set-up, and first-order product education to ensure new accounts are confident and selling from day one.
  • Teach the science: train providers, aestheticians, and staff on the clinical science behind Colorescience — mineral protection, ingredient technologies, and the evidence behind every protocol — so partner teams recommend with clinical conviction.
  • Integrate the treatment room: embed post-procedure application, including the Finishing Touch Protocol, into partners' clinical workflow so every patient leaves protected, calmed, and confident.
  • Integrate the protocol: build Colorescience into pre-procedure protocols, preparing skin ahead of treatment and connecting our products to the procedures partners already perform.
  • Integrate the regimen: equip partner teams to translate in-office results into everyday home-use regimens so patients maintain daily protection and visible results between visits.
  • Advance and certify: keep partner teams current through Wear What Works, product webinars, and National Certifications to raise clinical expertise and portfolio adoption.
  • Grow the portfolio: broaden the range of Colorescience products each practice uses by introducing complementary products and categories that fit their protocols and patients.
  • Coach for retention: return to accounts to reinforce training, refresh teams after staff turnover, and re-energize practices where protocol adoption has slipped.
  • Work the Crew model: partner cross-functionally with Business Development Strategists, New Business Development Managers, and the Area Director to align implementation plans with each account's growth plan.

Success Metrics

  • In 90 days: certified on the full Colorescience portfolio and protocols; leading trainings independently; onboarding new practices end-to-end; implementation plans in motion for priority accounts.
  • In year one: measurable lift in protocol utilization, portfolio adoption and penetration, provider recommendations, and staff certification — growing average account value and activating new partners on protocol.

Sample KPIs: growth in average account value; protocol utilization rate; portfolio penetration (product categories active per account); provider recommendation rate; new partner onboarding and time-to-first-protocol; certifications completed per quarter.

Requirements

  • Current licensed aesthetician or RN with a minimum of 5 years of in-clinic (Dermatology/Med Spa), hands-on patient experience.
  • Prior experience training or educating clinical teams in medical aesthetics or professional skincare, with demonstrated success.
  • Prior systems experience with demonstrated ability to swiftly adopt process.
  • Natural educator: ability to turn product science into simple, memorable technique and engage a room of providers.
  • Clinical credibility: years of hands-on patient care to speak the language of providers and their teams as a peer, not a vendor.
  • Implementer: ability to build and execute plans until protocols run independently.
  • Proactive communicator: values sharing best practices with teammates and customers; coachable and open to feedback.
  • Engager: tenacity and creativity to keep partner teams activated and re-engage practices where adoption has gone quiet.
  • Technical proficiency: comfortable with Salesforce, Looker, Microsoft Office, and quick to learn Colorescience-specific systems.
  • Agile: thrives in launching new initiatives and managing through uncertainty.

Preferred: experience with physician-dispensed skincare brands; additional clinical credentials (e.g., RN, master aesthetician).

Logistics

  • Hybrid role with regular travel to partner accounts — expect 60% travel, including overnight stays.
  • Must live in California (Los Angeles or San Francisco Bay Area) within 45 minutes of a major airport.
  • Reports directly to the Global Director of Education.
  • Full-time position aligned with the Education Team in a collaborative, crew-based model.

Pay

Base salary + quarterly commission.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Paid time off (PTO).
  • Product allowance.
