Clinical RN II Labor/Delivery $45K Hiring Incentive

About the role

Primarily responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within an assigned unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities. The nursing care provided includes OB Triage, Labor and Delivery, OB Circulating and Recovery, High Risk OB, and immediate care of the newborn.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates plan of care with the client, their family and the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
• Observes and directs patient lifts and mobilization, participating in patient handling as needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of standard office equipment and personal computer skills.
• Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, mouse, and similar operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of directly related RN experience in Labor and Delivery, OB Circulating and OB PACU.
• Preferred Experience: 2+ years of directly related RN experience in Labor and Delivery, OB Circulating and OB PACU.
• Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), American Heart Association recognized Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AWHONN).
• Preferred Certification: Not Applicable.
• Required License: Current CA RN License.
• Preferred License: Not Applicable.

Skills

Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail).
