Clinical Risk Manager
Overview
The Risk Manager at OSF HealthCare is accountable for identifying and promoting effective risk controls across regional hospitals, outpatient departments, and multi-specialty groups. Key responsibilities include loss prevention, claims management, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare teams regarding unexpected care events. This role also involves reporting relevant risk management issues to leadership and participating in quality and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in nursing, legal, or other clinical-related field.
Required Experience: 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting with involvement in clinical operations, quality improvement, patient safety, compliance, risk identification, or regulatory activities.
Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, solid computer skills (proficiency with Microsoft software), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1 year of experience in Quality and Safety.
3 years' experience in clinical risk management, patient safety, or healthcare leadership.
Experience and comfort in presenting educational materials to diverse audiences.
Licensure/Certification: Risk Management or Patient Safety Certification.

This is a Salaried position with an expected pay range of $44.77 - $52.67 per hour.
