Clinical Research Nurse (RN)

About the role
This full-time Clinical Research Nurse (RN) position supports the Austin Midtown location. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The role may be filled at Level 1, 2, or Senior based on candidate experience.
As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will provide care for patients receiving cutting-edge oncology treatments through clinical trials. This role offers professional development opportunities, including tuition reimbursement and an annual bonus for oncology-certified nurses.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with physicians to identify and screen potential patients for clinical trial participation.
- Present trial concepts and details to oncology patients while conducting the informed consent process.
- Assess patients for adverse events and/or changes in condition.
- Provide staff and patient education regarding the management and administration of investigational products.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry to meet trial requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between clinic departments to ensure proper trial conduct.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing education program (BSN preferred).
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
- Current BLS or ACLS certification.
Qualifications
Level 1:
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
- OCN certification strongly preferred.
- CCRC or CCRP certification preferred.
- Oncology experience preferred.
Level 2:
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
Senior Level:
- Minimum 7 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology.

Working Conditions
Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
Physical Requirements
- Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
